| Mary Wingfield Scott |
After finishing the Crown Princess of Hungrytown Hollow with my mother, I am now inspired to do a similar book on Mary Wingfield Scott. It is a compendium of articles built around her unpublished "The Making of an Architectural Historian". Right now, it is very much a work in progress. Jack Amos is working on the cover design, and I've thrown something together for the back cover. I'm in the process of collecting photographs from our family and at this time, the photographs are just thrown into the book at almost any location and without regard to how the photos fit in with the text. I'll get the photos arranged as we get a full set of photos. So anyone is welcome to read through this, to offer suggestions and photographs. When we finish it, we plan to print it in a minimum quantity and give out copies to interested parties. The University of Virginia Press has expressed interest in Kay Peninger's thesis so this is really a practice run for what we hope will become a full biography of Mary Wing. Alfred Scott |
